personal statement:

I started teaching at the age of 21 years old, when the fitness industry was a very different place from that of today. I have had a passion for dancing all my life and similarly aerobics / fitness. It was this combination, of dance and workout orientated classes, which were to be the foundation and inspiration of my freestyle teaching. Years on, my passion for getting people fitter has only increased. I am influenced by the positive actions of others, be it fitness related or otherwise and I aim to make my clients’ experience of fitness as enjoyable an experience as possible. personal statement:

I am a qualified Exercise to Music, Pilates and Spinning Instructor and have been teaching with AJ for ten years. As the Deputy Head of a local primary school I tend to need a lot of energy! Teaching aerobics myself and participating in AJ's classes in the evenings gives me the boost I need after a busy day with the children and means I can give them more the next day. It would be fair to say that whether teaching or participating, I know how to let myself go and love sharing my energy and having fun with class participants. I love the sense of community and caring that exercising in a class environment creates and believe everyone should give it a go. These days I only have time to teach one class a week but at least it leaves me with time to take part in AJ's classes too!

Whilst working as a health club receptionist I developed an interest in Aerobics from an early age. This enthusiasm motivated me to do work experience with AJ. As a result of this experience, I felt very inspired to train as a fully qualified instructor in Exercise to Music and later in Pilates. I have a great passion for teaching and that comes across in my energetic and bubbly personality.

personal statement:

I am 42 years old, married with two children and have been in the dance / fitness industry all my life, starting ballet at the age of 3 until 11. Dancing took over in my early teens and I continued with this at a semi professional level. By the time I reached 20, an old dance friend introduced me to aerobics and step, and very quickly I became hooked. With the dance friend’s enthusiastic encouragement and skilled supervision, I decided to train as an aerobics instructor; both have been and still are a huge influence on me. Shortly after my second son was born, I suffered back problems, and was advised by my chiropractor to do pilates, which I then started with AJ. Very quickly, I began to reap the benefits with my back becoming much stronger and this inspired me to further my training as a Pilates instructor. I am also a qualified gym instructor, personal trainer and sports therapy masseur.
